<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a molding material which provides a molded article combining flexibility with hot water resistance superior to those of conventional molded article, and which also has outstanding handleability, and to provide a molded article, a flooring material, and a method for manufacturing the molded article. <P>SOLUTION: The molding material contains: a thermosetting resin composition (A) which enables a cured product having a glass transition temperature of -40 to 40°C to be formed, the cured product being composed of a thermosetting resin (a1) and a polymerizable unsaturated monomer (a2); a filler (B) which is subjected to surface treatment with a silane coupling agent (B); a reinforced fiber (C); and a thickener (D) including acrylic resin powder, with a predetermined rate.
