<p>A content provision device according to the present invention sends composite content comprising primary content and secondary content to a terminal via a network. The content provision device comprises a content selection unit, a content generation unit, and a communication unit. The content selection unit selects, in accordance with information regarding the throughput of the network between the content provision device and the terminal, and from among a pre-prepared plurality of secondary content having different bit rates or sizes, secondary content which is to be combined with primary content. Using the primary content and the selected secondary content, the content generation unit generates content which is to be sent to the terminal. The communication unit sends the generated content to the terminal via the network.</p> |
