PURPOSE: A shutter apparatus for a medicine shelf is provided to allow only an authorized person to handle medicine containers on the medicine shelf, a front of the medicine shelf being closed and opened by the shutter apparatus. CONSTITUTION: Many tablet cassettes(9) are put on a tablet cassette shelf(2). Both ends of a shutter(11) closing and opening a front surface of the shelf is movably supported by a guide rail installed to both ends of the shelf. An inner surface of the shutter is supported by a discharging roller(12) installed to an upper front portion of the shelf. An upper end of the shutter is wound around a winding shaft(13) installed to an upper end of the shelf. When the shutter is moved up, the winding shaft is driven in a winding direction, and the discharging roller idles. When the shutter is moved down, the discharging roller is driven in a discharging direction, and the winding shaft idles.
