Provided are a comb-shaped resin retainer and a roller bearing which are configured in such a manner that the amount of movement of the rollers is stable, the wear of the retainer is reduced, the manufacturing cost of the resin retainer and the roller bearing is reduced, and the width of the pockets can be accurately managed. A comb-shaped resin retainer (1) comprises: an annular section (2); and column sections (3) which protrude to one side in the axial direction from one side surface of the annular section (2). The gaps between the column sections (3, 3) adjacent to each other in the circumferential direction serve as pockets (Pt) for retaining cylindrical rollers (4), and side surfaces (5) of the column sections (3), the side surfaces (5) being the inner surfaces of the pockets (Pt) of the column sections (3), are formed in a concave shape. Each of the column sections (3) is tilted so as to become closer to the center of the retainer as the column section (3) extends toward the tip thereof. Flat sections (5a) are formed on the side surfaces (5) of the column sections (3), the side surfaces (5) being the inner surfaces of the pockets (Pt), and the flat sections (5a) continue in the axial direction from the tip portions of the column sections (3) toward the base end portions thereof. |
