<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a technology for easily detecting a failure of a current sensor. <P>SOLUTION: This control device 22 is a device for detecting a failure of current sensors 24 and 26 which measure currents flowing through a same current path 46. This control device 22 determines a failure of the current sensors 24 and 26 by using an upper limit value Ru1 of a measurement range R1 when a measured value M1 of the current sensor 24 is the upper limit value Ru1 of the measurement range R1, and a measured value M2 of the current sensor 26 is within a measurement range R2.
