PURPOSE: An underground pipe line monitoring system using indication nails is provided to effectively monitor a state of a pipe line by collecting ground state information on a real time basis using the indication nails. CONSTITUTION: An underground pipe line monitoring system(100) comprises a plurality of indication nails(110), a relay node(130), and a management server(170). The indication nails are installed on a ground surface by being separated from each other in order to detect the location of a pipe line buried in the ground. The indication nail wirelessly and mutually communicates ground state information detected using a motion sensor part. The relay node relays the information transmitted through the indication nail. The management server is connected to the relay node through a communications network. The ground state information detected from the indication nail is collected and stored in the management server.
