<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To allow a VMM to use a network device without depending upon the type of the network device. <P>SOLUTION: On an information processing apparatus having a physical network device which is physically present, a virtual control program which controls the operation of a virtual machine makes a guest OS, including a physical device driver controlling the physical network device, operate on a virtual machine. Further, the virtual control program provides a virtual network device, obtained by virtualizing a network device controlled by the device driver that the guest OS has, for the guest OS.
