<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To allow a transferer to specify a range of authority to be transferred and then transfer the authority to an authority use service as a transferee even when not knowing the transferrable authority. <P>SOLUTION: There is provided the authentication device included in the authority transfer system which transfers authority that a user has to a second device which requests a first device processing the authority according to the authority to perform the processing. The authentication device includes reception means of receiving a request to transfer the authority from the second device; acquisition means of acquiring information on the authority that the user has from a storage means; confirmation means of presenting the information on the authority that the acquisition means acquires to the user and receiving an indication of which piece of authority that the user has is transferred to the second device; and storage means of associatively storing an identifier uniquely identifying the indication and the authority that the user indicates to be transferred when the confirmation means receives an indication of transferring the authority to the second device. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2012,JPO&INPIT
