PURPOSE: A printer is provided to detect a plurality of fist conditions and to save a compensation parameter in a memory of a printer correlating with the plurality of first conditions. CONSTITUTION: A printer comprises a media transmit unit, a plurality of print bars, an imaging device, one or more temperature sensors, one or more web condition sensors, an input unit, and a controller(50). The media transmit unit transfers media to a process direction through a printer. The print bar comprises a plurality of print heads and a print head driver circuit. The print head driver circuit is connected to the print heads. The imaging device generates image data corresponding to a cross processing portion of the media transferred by the printer. The temperature sensor generates signals indicating the temperature of the printer. The web condition sensors are composed to make an input of operation parameters. The controller confirms registration errors by referring to the image data transmitted from the imaging device and generates compensation parameters corresponding to the confirmed registration errors.
