<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a flat square-shaped base material for solar cell electrode wire rods before being plated which is formed from a slit material of pure copper plate having excellent crack resistance and superior adhesion with plating applied to the surface thereof. <P>SOLUTION: The base material is formed from a slit material of pure copper sheet containing 99.90 mass% or more of Cu, the arithmetic average roughness of whose surface, Ra, is 0.05-0.3 μm, whose maximum height, Rz, is 0.5-2.5 μm, and the ratio (Rq/Rz) of whose root-mean-square roughness, Rq, to the maximum height, Rz, is 0.06-1.1. Further, the ratio (Lσ/L) of the total grain boundary length of its crystal grain boundary, L, to the total special grain length of its special grain boundary, Lσ, which are measured at a depth of within 10 μm from the surface by an EBSD method using a scanning electron microscope equipped with a backscattering electronic diffraction image system, is 40-90%. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2012,JPO&INPIT |
