METHODS OF POSITION TRACKING OF MOBILE TERMINAL USING OBSERVED TIME DIFFERENCE OF ARRIVAL AND MOBILE TERMINAL USING THE SAME

PURPOSE: A portable terminal location tracing method and a portable terminal using the same are provided to add weighted value to a signal which is received to the portable terminal without a location tracing module and to trace the location of the portable terminal. CONSTITUTION: A portable terminal presumes a CIR(Channel Impulse Response) based on a received signal(1210). The portable terminal adds weight value to the presumed CIR value(1220). The portable terminal determines the location of the portable terminal by using the added CIR value(1230).
