<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a binding machine capable of binding a plurality of portions by one operation and easily adaptable to a narrow region such as a corner of a paper sheet, and a booklet. <P>SOLUTION: In the binding device 1, punched holes P1 and cut holes P2 are formed on paper sheets P in cooperation with a punching blade 7, a cutting blade 8 and an anvil 9, and cut and raised pieces P11 cut and raised from the punched holes P1 in a plurality of portions are inserted into the cut holes P2, so as to bind the paper sheets P with one another at the plurality of portions.
