<p>The device (1) has a carrier (30) for detachably holding a brush element at a flat front side, and rods (2) detachably connected with the carrier at a rear side (36), where the rear side is turned away from the front side. An elastic locking unit (5) is fastened to the rear side of the carrier and locked with corrugations (3) of the rods. The locking unit is detachably connected with the labeling machine, and retainers and/or openings are formed in the carrier.
