PURPOSE: A low arm using laser surface heat treatment and a method of manufacturing the same are provided to control the strength of a weak portion of a low arm through selective surface heat treatment using a laser device. CONSTITUTION: A method for manufacturing a low arm using laser surface heat treatment comprises the steps of: forming a low arm body(201) from a high-strength steel sheet and forming a reinforcing part(250) through partial laser surface heat treatment on a weak portion of the low arm body. The reinforcing part is formed around one or more of a tooling hole(210), a ball joint(220), and a front bush(240). The tooling hole is bored through the center of the low arm body, the ball joint is arranged on an edge of the low arm body, and the front bush is arranged on the rear side of the tooling hole. |
