PURPOSE: An automated ultrasonic inspection method for a wheel dovetail using a rotor bore is provided to inspect whether a crack with respect to a weak portion of a wheel dovetail in which an ultrasonic inspection outside of a rotor is impossible exists or not by transmitting ultrasonic signals even if the height of the wheel dovetail is short. CONSTITUTION: An automated ultrasonic inspection method for a wheel dovetail using a rotor is as follows. A wedge unit comprises an ultrasonic probe in a transferring body(200). The installed wedge unit is closely adhered to the inner surface of a rotary core of a turbine rotor(S300). The transferring body is horizontally moved so that the wedge unit is at a set angle with respect to the wheel dovetail portion of the turbine rotor(S400). The ultrasonic waves transmitted or received through the wedge unit are obtained(S550). The obtained signals are decoded(S600). Whether the wheel dovetail is defective or not is decided(S700). |
