<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide technology for improving efficiency for making a site-specific mutant ES cell. <P>SOLUTION: There is provided a method for increasing the homogenous recombination efficiency of a foreign DNA in an ES cell. The method for increasing the homogenous recombination efficiency of the foreign DNA in the ES cell includes a step for transferring a sequence-specific gene expression inhibitor targeting a gene encoding an enzyme selected from a group consisting of Ligase IV and Ku80 and participating in at least one kind of heterologous terminal bond to the ES cell.
