PURPOSE: A preparing method of leather for furniture is provided to offer leather, of which residual 6-valent chrome is remarkably reduced, with excellent tensile strength, elongation, abrasion resistance, UV discoloration, etc. CONSTITUTION: A preparing method of leather comprises: a step of soaking raw leather into 1-3 weight% of chromic salt solution; a step of soaking the raw material into 10-25 weight% of vegetable oily aqueous solution; a step of removing 6-valent chrome by soaking the raw leather into 2-6 weight% of phosphate solution. The chromic salt is one or more kinds selected from chromium sulfate, chrome potassium, chrome fluoride, chromium hydroxide, chromic nitrate, phosphoric acid chrome, and iron chromate.
