<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a structure, apparatus and method for connecting a terminal to an electrical wire, and a wire harness which allow a terminal connected to a conductor of an electrical wire to be smoothly inserted into a terminal socket of a connector housing. <P>SOLUTION: When a connection section 6 where a terminal 5 is connected to a conductor 3 of an electrical wire 2 constituting a wire harness 1 is coated with a coating resin 7, an insulator 4 is radially compressed over a region to be inserted in a terminal socket 9 of a connector housing 8, so that the coating resin 7 coating the insulator 4 has an outside diameter made smaller than the diameter of the terminal socket 9. When the terminal 5 of the wire harness 1 is inserted into the terminal socket 9 of the connector housing 8, an outer circumferential surface of the coating resin 7 coating the connection section 6 of the conductor 3 of the electrical wire 2 and the terminal 5 does not butt an inlet side rim of the terminal socket 9 to allow a smooth insertion of the terminal 5 of the wire harness 1 into the terminal socket 9 of the connector housing 8. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2012,JPO&INPIT |
