The present invention relates to a natural dyeing method of a fiber using an indigo plant. In the natural dyeing method, a liquid pigment contained in a leaf of the indigo plant is dissolved into water to mix the water containing the liquid pigment with lime powder and air, thereby concentrating the mixture into an insoluble pigment. The concentrated indigo plant dye is mixed with caustic soda to reduce the mixture into a soluble pigment through microorganism fermentation. Then, a fiber is immersed into the soluble indigo plant dye solution to dye the fiber. Thereafter, the fiber contacts air to convert the soluble indigo plant dye solution into the insoluble pigment again, thereby completing the natural dyeing using the indigo plant. Thus, dye absorbency may be very fast, and also color fastness may be superior. Also, the color of the fiber may not be easily discolored by water or detergent, and it may prevent water pollution or dermatitis from occurring. |
