PURPOSE: An emission reduction system of a car for improving emission reduction performance using a burner is provided to increase the temperature of exhaust gas when necessary and to operate a burner when the regeneration of a DPF is required. CONSTITUTION: An emission reduction system of a car for improving emission reduction performance using a burner comprises a burner(300), an oxidation catalyst(400), a DPF(500), an SCR(Selective Catalytic Reduction)(710), and an electronic control module(900). The burner increases the temperature of exhaust gas by burning fuel. The oxidation catalyst oxidizes unburned hydrocarbon and carbon monoxide generated from an engine(100). The SCR reduces nitrogen oxide. The electronic control module controls the operation of the burner using values measured from sensors(810,820,830,840,850).
