PURPOSE: An automatic washing device and method for pallets are provided to improve the efficiency of drying washed pallets by horizontally reciprocating an air knife so as to dry the top and bottom sides of the pallets. CONSTITUTION: An automatic washing device(2) for pallets comprises a washing unit(6), a pallet rotating unit(10), an air drying unit(12), an in-conveyor(18), a transfer element, an out-conveyor(96), and a controller(14). The washing unit sprays washing water with a washing water pump(26) to wash pallets. The pallet rotating unit rotates pallets with a rotator(8) in order to remove the washing water remaining in grooves. The air drying unit dries the transferred washed pallets. The in-conveyor, the transfer element, and the out-conveyor are respectively installed in the washing unit, the rotator, and the air drying unit. The controller connects the washing unit, the pallet rotating unit, the air drying unit, the in-conveyor, the transfer element, and the out-conveyor together.
