<p>PURPOSE: An article transport apparatus is provided to prevent dust from being attached on articles while transferring and to prevent attachment of substances such as ammonia or a sulfur dioxide etc. CONSTITUTION: An article transport apparatus comprises a moving body(7), an article holding part, a purified air ventilation device(26), an opening and closing body(27), and an opening and closing control device. The moving body moves along a guide rail on the ceiling. An accommodation space for accommodating articles held by the article holding part is formed in the moving body. An opening is formed at the lower end of the accommodation space so that the article holding part can be lifted. The purified air ventilation device ventilates air, purified through an air purification filter, to the accommodation space. The position of the opening and closing body is changed to the opening position and the closing position by fluctuation around a horizontal shaft center. In case that the article holding part is lifted between the ascending position and the descending position, the opening and closing control device allows the opening and closing body to be located in the opening position. If the article holding part stops lifting between the ascending position and the descending position, the opening and closing control device allows the opening and closing body to be moved from the opening position to the closing position.</p> |
