PURPOSE: A brake apparatus of a recumbent bicycle is provided to brake a pair of front wheels at the same time through a simple configuration. CONSTITUTION: A brake apparatus of a recumbent bicycle comprises a pair of links(11,12), a lever cable(20), a pair of pad cables(31,32), and an elastic body(40). The links are symmetrically installed in the center bar of a chassis and allowed to rotate. One side of the lever cable is dynamically connected to one of the links while the other end is dynamically connected to a brake lever. One sides of the pad cables are respectively connected to the links while the other sides are connected to a brake pad. When the lever cable pulls one of the links according to the operation of a lever, the elastic body equally distributes power to the pair of links so that the pair of links and the pair of pad cables move close to each other by the same distance around the center bar. When the power applied to the brake lever is removed, the elastic body returns the pair of links and the pair of pad cables to the original position. |
