A washing machine for cleaning golf clubs, the washing machine including a housing having at least one washing chamber; receiving means adapted to receive and accommodate at least one golf club so that at least a portion of the at least one golf club required to be washed is offered up for washing; and a water jet system associated with the washing chamber and operable to direct water under pressure over the said portion of the at least one golf club.
