PURPOSE: A navigation apparatus and a route display method are provided to compute the current position and speed information of a vehicle in real time through a GPS module. CONSTITUTION: A navigation apparatus comprises a road information DB(152), a control unit(170), and a display unit(140). The road information DB stores road information. If a road on a route is bidirectional traffic, the control unit sets the position of a route line to separate the route line from the center of the road. The display unit displays the route depending on the position of the set route line.
