PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To attain constant current control corresponding to the optimum characteristic of a plurality of recording paper sizes by a single high voltage power source. SOLUTION: This high voltage power unit for selectively supplying prescribed high voltage to the high voltage load side by using a single high voltage power source is provided with constant current control parts 2a, 2b for setting up respectively different current values and controlling a constant current output on basis of the current values, a high voltage generation means for generating a high voltage output on the basis of the current values of the control parts 2a, 2b and a CPU 11 for monitoring the output value of an output conversion part 3, comparing an output value obtained by the monitoring with a previously set value and switching plural constant current control means 2a, 2b on the basis of the compared result. |
