<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To facilitate attaching-detaching work by attaching-detaching a hub bearing while keeping an output shaft so far fitted with the hub bearing by a spline in a centering state. <P>SOLUTION: A tool 30 is installed on the outer end of a housing 3, a wheel hub 22 of the hub bearing 18 is installed on a plate 38 of a slider 37, and the hub bearing 18 is extracted to an illustrated position from an end cover 19 of the housing 3 by a lever 41. In this state, a centering plate 43 is fitted to a place so far fitted with the hub bearing 18, and the centering state of the output shaft 9 is held. Thus, the tool 30 is removed from the outer end of the housing 3, and after replacing the hub bearing 18, the output shaft 9 is kept again in the centering state for a time up to installing the tool 30 on the outer end of the housing 3. When fitting the replaced hub bearing 18 to a predetermined position, the centering plate 43 is removed, the replaced hub bearing 18 is displaced leftward from the illustrated position, and the hub bearing 18 can be fitted thereby. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2012,JPO&INPIT |
