<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a rudder whose structure is simplified and which is easily controlled. <P>SOLUTION: A horizontal rudder 8 includes: a supporting member 81 fixed at a stern 4; a rudder shaft 82 which is supported by the supporting member 81, is located behind a screw propeller 6 and is extended in the direction of ship width; a port-side rudder plate 83R and a starboard-side rudder plate 83L which are attached to the rudder shaft 82 in freely rotatable manner around the centerline of the rudder shaft 82; a port-side rudder plate control member 84R and a starboard-side rudder plate control member 84L which are connected with the port-side rudder plate 83R and the starboard-side rudder plate 83L respectively and turn the port-side rudder plate 83R and the starboard-side rudder plate 83L mutually and independently around the centerline of the rudder shaft to set rudder angles of the port-side rudder plate 83R and the starboard-side rudder plate 83L respectively around the centerline of the rudder shaft; and a rudder plate handling member driving means which drives a port-side rudder plate control member 84R and a starboard-side rudder plate control member 84L mutually and independently. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2012,JPO&INPIT |
