<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a ventilator which can reduce a burden necessary for the maintenance of a filter portion. <P>SOLUTION: A bypass duct 38 is branched from an upstream side exhaust flow passage A and extends to a downstream side exhaust flow passage B while bypassing an heat exchange element 50a. A first filter 51 and a second filter 53 collect dust G contained in the air directed from the upstream side exhaust flow passage A toward the heat exchange element 50a and dust G contained in the air directed from an upstream side air-supply flow passage C toward the heat exchange element 50a. A first cleaning brush 65 and a second cleaning brush 66 separate the dust G collected with the first filter 51 and the second filter 53, allowing the dust to exist in the bypass duct 38.
