HOST CONTROLLER FOR CORRECTING SAMPLING PHASE, SEMICONDUCTOR DEVICE, AND CORRECTION METHOD FOR THE SAME

PURPOSE: A host controller, semiconductor apparatus, and correction method thereof are provided to correct a phase shift by detecting a phase shift error which is exceeded an available variation range. CONSTITUTION: A phase shift determination unit(107) controls a shift direction by determining needs of a phase shift for a sampling clock. A limit value storage unit(109) stores limit values for the variation range of the phase shift. When a count value is exceeded the limit value of the phase shift, a shift limit determination unit(110) notifies errors to a host apparatus. When the count value is not exceeded the limit value of the phase shift, the shift restriction determination unit shifts the phase of the sampling clock according to the count value.
