<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an antenna whose gain is enhanced and bandwidth is increased, or having a plurality of modes. <P>SOLUTION: In the antenna including a substrate, a radiation unit and a metal plate, the radiation unit is installed on the substrate, the metal plate is arranged with a prescribed distance mutually spaced from the radiation unit, is electrically insulated with the radiation unit, and is excited by the radiation unit to be used for generating at least one resonance mode, and the metal plate includes a through hole which penetrates the metal plate.
