AUTHENTICATION APPARATUS, AUTHENTICATION METHOD AND PROGRAM

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an authentication apparatus that can perform individual authentication of electronic components with sufficient accuracy without requiring a user's troublesome operation.

SOLUTION: The authentication apparatus includes: an authentication information holding section 10 for holding authentication information for identifying each of a plurality of electronic components which is acquired from an authentication pattern comprising a part or whole of a mottle pattern or dot pattern formed on the electronic component; an authentication information acquisition section 20 for acquiring first authentication information acquired from the authentication pattern formed on a first electronic component to be authenticated; a search section 30 for using the first authentication information as a search key to search the authentication information holding section 10 for the first authentication information; and an output section 40 for outputting the result of search by the search section 30.
