<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an imaging system capable of quickly and accurately focusing on a subject intended by an operator during pan-tilt rotation and capable of providing a clear image. <P>SOLUTION: The imaging system includes: an imaging optical part including a focus group; a focus driving part for driving the focus group; a control part for controlling the focus driving part; a focus detection part for outputting focusing information of an optical axis direction of the imaging optical part and the direction different from the optical axis direction to the control part; pan-tilt means for pan/tilt rotating the imaging optical part and outputting pan-tilt information to the control part; a position prediction means for predicting a future focusing position to be a focusing position after the prescribed time based on pan-tilt information output from the pan-tilt means and information indicating a state of the imaging optical part. The control part controls the focus driving part based on the focusing information for the focusing position when there is no pan/tilt rotation, and controls the focus driving part based on the focusing information for the future focusing position when there is pan/tilt rotation. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2012,JPO&INPIT |
