<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a thermal index detection system capable of displaying information resulting in heat exhaustion prevention by monitoring a thermal index in an outdoor or open-air fixed area. <P>SOLUTION: In any suitable location within an area to be monitored, at least one of measuring sections 1a, 1b, 1c is installed, each measuring section having at least either a temperature sensor for measuring a black bulb temperature or a temperature sensor for measuring an atmospheric temperature and a humidity sensor. A measurement is transmitted to a display device 2 installed at a separate place so as to make the measurement visible in real time.
