<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a beverage having an effectively enhanced flavor, a method for producing the same and a composition for addition that effectively enhances beverage flavor. <P>SOLUTION: The method for producing a beverage containing a flavor component derived from hop includes addition of a lower fatty acid or an ester thereof. The method for producing a beverage containing a monoterpene alcohol includes addition of a lower fatty acid or an ester thereof.
