摘要 <P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To increase a light extraction efficiency in a light extraction section in a display device including a light source, a light guide body guiding light from the light source, and the light extraction section locally and selectively extracting light from the light guide body. <P>SOLUTION: The display device in accordance with one embodiment of the present invention includes: the light source; the light guide body having one end which is located adjacent to the light source and to which the light of the light source is applied, the other end which is distant from the light source, and a side part extending from the one end side to the other end side, guiding outward path light by fully reflecting it by the side part from the one end side to the other end part side, and guiding inward path light while fully reflecting the outward path light by the side part from the other end part side to the one end side; and the light extraction section provided at the side face of the light guide body and extracting the light in the light guide body. The other end part changes the route of the outward path light in such a manner that the incident angle when the inward path light is fully reflected by the side part becomes smaller than the incident angle when the outward path light is fully reflected by the side part. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2012,JPO&INPIT
