<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a combustor for a combustion turbine engine provided with a filtering system which has a large effective flow area, and is high in the cost efficiency, operated with various kinds of fuel, and durable. <P>SOLUTION: The combustor 112 for the combustion turbine engine includes a chamber defined by an outer wall and forming a channel between windows 156 defined through the outer wall toward a front end of the chamber and at least one fuel injector 138 positioned toward a rear end of the chamber, a screen 160, and a standoff 163 including a raised area on an outer surface of the outer wall near the periphery of the windows 156. In the combustor 112, the screen 160 extends over the windows 156 and is supported by the standoff 163 in a raised position in relation to the outer surface of the outer wall and the windows 156. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2012,JPO&INPIT |
