Bio-mimetic compositions for maintaining and restructuring keratinic fibres

Cosmetic composition for treating keratin fibers, preferably human hair comprises (in wt.%) (a) at least an oil or fat (2.5-25) based on triglycerides of which at least one mono or polyunsaturated fatty acid has a carbon chain length of at least 18 carbon atoms, (b) at least oil or fat (1.5-60) based on triglycerides of which at least one saturated fatty acids has a carbon chain length of at least 16 carbon atoms, (c) at least a protein hydrolyzate (0.01-7.5) , (d) natural phospholipids (0-7.5) and (e) a cosmetic carrier. An independent claim is also included for treating keratin fibers, comprising applying the cosmetic composition on the keratin fibers and rinsing after an exposure up to few seconds to 45 minutes.
