PURPOSE: A system for treating jellyfish and a method for treating the jellyfish are provided to overcome the secondarily pollution of ocean and to improve the eliminating efficiency of jellyfish without the use of toxic chemicals. CONSTITUTION: A jellyfish inducing unit(100) includes an illuminating unit(120) and a supporting unit(110). A light illuminating unit uses a light emitting diode(123) as light source. A support unit is installed such that the light illuminating unit focuses to the specific area of the ocean. A plurality of light emitting diodes is prepared and emits light in the wavelength of 400-500nm. A jellyfish treating system includes the injecting unit, a transferring unit(200), a treating unit(300), and a drying unit(400). The transferring unit transfers jellyfish which is induced in a specific region. The treating unit collects and annihilates the transferred jellyfish. The drying unit eliminates moisture from the annihilated jellyfish.
