PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a process for hydrocarbon whose main component is propane or butane, i.e. liquefied petroleum gas (LPG), economically from methanol and/or dimethyl ether. SOLUTION: In this process, a raw material gas containing at least one of methanol and dimethyl ether, and a synthesis gas is flown through a catalyst layer containing a catalyst for liquefied petroleum gas production to produce a liquefied petroleum gas.
