FIELD: beneficiation of ores. ^ SUBSTANCE: invention is referred to beneficiation of ores containing titanium oxides, more specifically, to energy-saving process on the revolving hearth for extraction of easily separable metallic iron and titanium oxides from low-grade ore reduction products. The technique includes the following stages: (a) provision of ore containing iron oxide (III) and titanium oxide at the ambient temperature, (b) blending of ore with carbon source with formation of agglomerates, (c) addition of agglomerates to the carbon layer of the movable hearth furnace. Agglomerate heating up to 1,300-1,800C for iron oxide (III) reduction to iron oxide (II) and agglomerate melting with formation of melting slag rich in iron oxide (II) is performed on the carbon layer (d), carbon source amount used at the stage (b) being such that amount of carbon is insufficient for metallization of more than 50% of iron oxides (III) and (II) at the stages (d) and (e). At the stage (e) the agglomerates are heated to the maximum temperature of over 1,500C for achievement of the desired degree of metallization due to reaction with the carbon layer so that the melting slag rich in iron oxide (II) becomes slag rich in titanium oxide and containing large drops of iron. The slag rich in titanium oxide is quenched (f) until freezing with content of metallic iron solid drops, and (g) metallic iron solid drops are separated from slag rich in titanium oxide. Besides, the stages (c), (d) and (e) take place in a single movable hearth furnace. ^ EFFECT: energy-saving process on the revolving hearth for extraction of easily separable metallic iron and titanium oxides from low-grade ore reduction products. ^ 12 cl, 6 dwg, 3 ex |
