PURPOSE: A solar battery and a manufacturing method thereof are provided to arrange a rear surface passivation layer which has a low refractive index and a low light absorption coefficient, thereby improving efficiency of the solar battery. CONSTITUTION: A second passivation layer(300) is arranged on the lower surface of a base layer(400). A first passivation layer(200) is placed on the lower surface of the second passivation layer. A rear surface electrode layer(100) is placed on the lower surface of the first passivation layer. An anti-reflection film(600) is placed on the upper surface of an emitter layer(500). A front surface electrode layer(700) is connected to the emitter layer by penetrating the anti-reflection film.
