A wireless display device (400) is disclosed, comprising an electronic ink display (403) and a receiver (401) configured to receive power wirelessly and power the electronic ink display. The electronic ink display may be one of an electrophoretic display, an electrowetting display, or an electrofluidic display. In an embodiment of the invention, the receiver (401) is configured to receiver power wirelessly from a transmitter (411) of a wireless power supply unit (410). In another embodiment, the receiver is configured to harvest ambient radio frequency power.
