The device (10) has a base body (12) provided with an aperture (14). A stepless valve (16) is provided with a valve seat (18) along a periphery of the aperture. A valve member (20) is movably formed between a closing position and an opening position, where the valve member rests on the valve seat in the closing position and is lifted from the valve seat in the opening position. An exhaust nozzle (24) is mounted on the valve member such that generation of directed air stream (26) is controlled with respect to generation of diffuse air stream (22).
