<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a tool for the on-car maintenance work of an elevator capable of mechanically limiting a rise of a car before a maintenance worker gets on a car top. <P>SOLUTION: The tool for the on-car maintenance work of the elevator is used for mechanically limiting the rise of the car when executing the on-car maintenance work of the elevator.
