<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To securely and easily fix a circulation tube and prevent the circulation tube from rising when the defective circulation of balls occurs. <P>SOLUTION: This ball screw device comprises the circulation tube 8 leading the balls 5 rolling in a load area from one of two sets of circulation holes 7 formed on the circumferential side face of a nut 6 to the outside of the nut 6 and fitted, at its both ends, to the circulation holes 7 to form, therein, a ball circulation route for returning the balls 5 from the other circulation hole 7 to the load area and a retainer 10 fixing the circulation tube 8 to the nut 6. The retainer 10 comprises a groove 11 formed at a sheet metal press-molded part and fitted to the circulation tube 8 and a seat 12 in contact with the nut 6.
