<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a luminaire-lighting device and a luminaire, which can turn on a light source without a setting operation even with a solid light source or a discharge lamp connected. <P>SOLUTION: The luminaire has a luminaire-lighting device 10, to which a solid light source such as an LED or an organic EL, or a discharge lamp such as a fluorescent lamp is connected as a light source. The luminaire-lighting device 10 includes: a DC power source circuit 1 operable to convert an AC power into a DC power; a DC lighting circuit 2 operable to turn on a solid light source; a high-frequency lighting circuit 3 operable to turn on a discharge lamp; a light source judging circuit 5 operable to judge whether the connected light source is a solid light source or not; and a control circuit 4 operable to control ON and OFF of the lighting circuits 2 and 3. The control circuit 4 activates the DC lighting circuit 2 to cause it to supply DC lighting power to the light source at the start of lighting. If the light source judging circuit 5 judges that no solid light source is connected, the control circuit 4 switches the DC lighting circuit 2 to the high-frequency lighting circuit 3. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2012,JPO&INPIT |
