A METHOD FOR PRODUCING VINYL CHLORIDE BASED POLYMER

PURPOSE: A manufacturing method of vinyl chloride based polymer is provided to easily control the average particle diameter of the vinyl chloride based polymer within the range of 0.05-0.5 micron, and to reduce polymerization time. CONSTITUTION: A manufacturing method of vinyl chloride based polymer comprises: a step of mixing polymerization water, an emulsifier, an initiator, and a vinyl chloride based polymer; and a step of homogenization the mixture and initiating polymerization. The particle size of the vinyl chloride based polymer can be controlled by conducting the polymerization in non-isothermal condition. In the first step, vinyl chloride based monomer and the emulsifier are putted into the mixture solution consisting of polymerization water and the initiator. The average particle size of the vinyl chloride based polymer is 0.05-0.5 micron.
