<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a backlight unit for radiating light to a liquid crystal panel in which a screen is defined into a plurality of display areas. <P>SOLUTION: In a backlight unit for radiating light to a liquid crystal panel in which a screen is defined into a plurality of display areas, the backlight unit includes a bottom frame having a bottom surface and side walls, a plurality of light emission diodes defining a plurality of light emission regions respectively corresponding to the display areas of the liquid crystal panel, and an integrated light guide plate arranged at the plurality of light emission regions corresponding to the one screen while covering the plurality of light emission diodes.
