摘要 <P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a liquid crystal display device with high image quality, lower power consumption, and higher visibility for performing display with scattering of light by liquid crystal. <P>SOLUTION: White display (bright display) is performed with scattering of light by liquid crystal in a liquid crystal layer including polymer dispersed liquid crystal (PDLC) or polymer network liquid crystal (PNLC). By disposing a pixel electrode layer at a center of the liquid crystal layer held by a first common electrode layer and a second common electrode layer, two optical elements can be stacked, one of which is a first liquid crystal element including the first common electrode layer, the liquid crystal layer, and the pixel electrode layer, and the other of which is a second liquid crystal element including the pixel electrode layer, the liquid crystal layer, and the second common electrode layer. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2012,JPO&INPIT
